Financial Control Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Control Specialist to oversee financial activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and support executive decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in accounting, auditing, and financial management, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management.
  • Monitor financial indicators and market trends to support decision-making.

2. Budgeting and Financial Reporting

  • Lead the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Conduct variance analysis and recommend adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with domestic and international accounting standards.

3. Tax Compliance and Management

  • Oversee VAT and corporate tax planning, compliance, and reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of VAT and corporate tax returns.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and implement necessary adjustments to tax strategies.

4. Cash Flow Management

  • Monitor cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
  • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
  • Optimize the company’s liquidity strategy.

5. Compliance and Auditing

  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree (MBA, MSc) or professional certifications (CFA, CPA) are preferred.
  • Preferred 3–4 years of experience in auditing at Big4 firms or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Effective time management and prioritization abilities.
